Joining the clubs

What is a school club?

Usually a school club is a group in which students who have the same hobby get together regularly to do their favourite things. There are many different kinds of clubs in a school. Some are for skill training, some are for knowledge studying, others are just for fun. 

Why do we need these clubs?

Everybody knows that studying in a middle school must be very hard work. However, there are many different clubs for students to join. They can not only relax themselves in there but also learn a lot in the groups. For example, they may learn what teamwork is by making a project and finishing one of the tasks together. That is, To play is to learn. 

Helping Hands Club-Hot

'Helping Hands Club', also called 'Buddy Clubs' in the States, has been set up in many schools.  Students in lower grades may meet some problems in their new schools. They need to tell the  seniors and ask them for help. Older students in this club will talk to their little sisters and brothers about school lives. They may even help with the homework. One word to describe it: Hot!

Studying outside class

Students can surely learn much knowledge in class. But they will learn more if they attend a club. In a club, you can do some small experiments to test whether something is true or not. In this way, things are learned almost entirely by your experience, not from books. We have many clubs for studying purposes, such as 'English Learning Club', 'Cooking Club', 'Reading Club' and many many more.

Come here just for fun

If you are only interested in entertainment, you can also choose a club which is just for fun. For example, 'Chess Club' is a good idea. In this club, you can freely play (Chinese) chess with your fellows. You don't have to worry about your lessons. 'Drama Club' is also attractive and many students are crazy about it. To make a show in the stage is really exciting. Come on and have fun!
